DON'T BE A STRANGER
It's a phrase I heard over and
over as I was growing up. Life on the farm may have been hard, but the playing
and the socializing were just as intense. Like when the adults gathered on
Saturday nights to play dominos.
While the double-sixes clicked on the dining room table, we kids were usually
into some kind of unsupervised mischief, like jumping up and down on the beds,
which usually resulted in the breaking of slats and getting chased outside.
Which was where we were when Gary Wayne thought it'd be pretty funny to drop
a toad down the back of my shirt.
Well, a good time would be had by all, and as the evening broke up, people
would amble toward their pickups, kids dozing on their shoulders. That's when
I'd hear my Dad saying, "Come back soon. Don't be a stranger."
You see, when you've had a good experience, there's a desire to repeat it.
You don't play dominos with strangers. You don't do business with them either.
You do business with people you know. This is what branding is all about.
Genuine experiences with your brand. That's the approach we take to your marketing
